Furry Friends - Stray Dogs

During my walk, I came upon so many exciting things like beautiful flowering plants, birds, dogs, cats, etc. However, there are many stray dogs living outside the apartment premises who cannot be missed. They become noisy at night falls and fall asleep at day times.

Biscuit is the elder one, and the younger one is Boxer. I have known them ever since they were puppies and have grown affectionate to me. They grew up to become road inspectors and security guards of the apartment. They cannot tolerate fast-moving and noisy vehicles passing by and run after them barking loudly. It was a bit scary. But somehow, they escaped from being hurt. 



Biscuit is a submissive and gentle fellow whereas Boxer is a bit bossy. But both are affectionate towards me. Whenever I meet them, they wag their tails going excited and put their paws on me decorating my clothes with mud marks.  I usually feed them some biscuits every time I go out for a walk. Most of the time, they accompany me during the walk.  Sometimes they get naughty and enter the apartment premises when they are prohibited to enter. One of the security guards will go after them to bring them back. I had a pleasant time with them for some 2 years. 




A few years later, one day I was shocked to see these two buddies are missing. I enquired the security guard about the dogs. He said that both were adopted by a nice person from a farm. I was disappointed initially but was happy that they had found a nice home.

 

 


Sometime later, I met Temper (black and white), Danger (black and tan) and Warning(brown). The 3 stray dogs lived on another side of the apartment on the street. They too became dear to me. 

Temper- Has a wild temper. Sometimes his friendly bark is mistaken as a fierce growl. Otherwise, a Boisterous and loving fellow.
Danger- Less fierce and friendly. Beware, without your knowledge, he puts his muddy paws on your clothes as quick as a lightning. 

Warning was a scared little dog. She lived with these two for some months and I didn’t see her after that.

I first met Danger in this form. He was responding to other street dogs bark peeping out from a hole underneath a dry gutter. He along with Temper are good security dogs.



 


Danger is found chasing away some unwanted creatures like squirrels and monkeys. Monkeys are a menace in this apartment block.

Furry Friends- Stray Cats

She lives permanently in the apartment premises sometimes with her mates like Ginger, Spotty, etc. She had many litters of kittens of whom male kittens get stolen and female ones grow up and continue to live in the apartments or sometimes wander away. She lives like a queen and drives away other stray cats away.   A Sleepy Gem Gem in hiding During my walks in the wee hours of the morning, I see her in hunting mode or in a sleepy mood. Sometimes she is hiding around some shrubs or corner ready to make an ambush attack on a pigeon or squirrel who passes by.   Gem in hiding She feeds on Rock pigeons who dwell on these buildings. Furry Friends – Monkeys -Bonnet Macaques (Terrace Residents)

Need to book a domestic flight? Click Here! Our furry friends, monkey visitors made a regular routine to visit our premises and garden every day or week. In addition to this, there is a Goddess Rajarajeshwari temple just opposite to the apartments, where there are abundant fruit-bearing trees like tamarind, mango, Dattatreya trees, etc. Most of the trees attract many birds and these monkeys. Gradually, the monkeys discovered a way towards the terrace of the apartment buildings situated on the 6 th   or 7th floor. As the Doors of the terraces are constantly opened the monkeys began to visit them quite often and one day they decided to settle down on the terrace. One terrace of an apartment building is connected to another terrace of an apartment building through a bridge.
